Optic Milling For Glock Pistols

I have a Glock 21 Gen 3 which I was bored with and I had considered trading it away or selling it. I decided to use it as a test mule for one of those newfangled pistol optics everyone seems to like. I poked around on the AR forums and found that Primary Machine has a great reputation and I decided to have them mill the slide for a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. This proved to be an all-around good decision.

Reasonable pricing, fantastic workmanship (looks factory), quick turnaround, and great customer service. Bruce answered some of my e-mails within 5 minutes, and delivery was just a hair over 3 weeks from the day I shipped the slide. And my 55 year old farsighted eyes REALLY like the reticle which appears in the same focal plane as the target.

Realistically, how many times will the average gun owner swap multi-hundred dollar optics? Do your homework, decide which sight you want, and have the slide milled for it. This is a much better option than the OEM systems with adapter plates, in my opinion, especially for the Delta Point Pro. I can't wait to get back to the range and take some tactical classes with my "old" pistol!

Looking at pictures of the work that primary machine does, does not give them justice. I ordered stainless and it came out perfect, just what I wanted. Turn around time was good also, about three weeks.

The milling for the rear of the slide to accept the red dot optic looked like factory original. I had the slide coated and the finish was perfect. I recommend sending in the complete slide and red dot for a proper fitting. this was a perfect job...!

In competition, an Eotech sight brings my scores up immensely!

Primary Machine mounted one on my Glock 29, added suppressor sights and Cerakoted it in Stainless.

Postal pickup to postal delivery was about a month.

Great service and the quality of the fit and finish are superb.
Sent in my G23 to have it machined for a Leupold Delta Point Pro and have it refinished. Unfortuntely the supressor height sight I had provided weren't tall enough to clear the sight, but PM were quick to point me to a set that would work from Dawson. All in all a great job by Primary Machine and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get their slide machined.

Primary Machine did an incredible job milling my Glock 17 for my Vortex Venom. It now sits much lower on the slide and when I bring my gun up, I no longer have to search for the dot - it is right there on target. They also installed Dawson suppressor night sights that perfectly co-witness the dot.

They cerakoted the entire slide and the coating is flawless.

On top of that, I needed to contact them on a few occasions and always received a prompt, courteous response.

I highly recommend Primary Machine to anyone looking to have similar work done on their pistols. I'll be back for future work.

excellent work , prompt service, got my G22 slide milled and Cerakoted , had suppressor sites installed, all in 2 weeks including shipping time, great job! Only had one minor issue, as my G22 was an early 3rd gen,the plastic recoil spring guide rod had no play to start with, so with the Cerakote it was rather difficult to get it back in the slide for reassembly,But one turn with a piece of extra fine grit sandpaper on the plastic ,and it went right together. Burnt bronze looks great. milling looks great. thanks for the great work.
