CZ SP-01/P-01 Optic Milling

They cut an SP-01 for an optic. Added a front sight blank and did a solid cerakote job. My decade old pistol feels like a new piece. The cerakote and the optic they mounted is holding up well. Got a couple thousand rounds through it. Shooting matches and dry fire has not wore the finish off yet. Worth the money and the reasonable lead time.

All of the hype about Primary Machine optic milling is right on target! The USPS delivered my SP-01 slide today & I was not disappointed. The optic cut & slide finish are immaculate. I couldn’t be more satisfied…

I have local places that can cut my optics Primary Machine does such a great job that they are my only go to on opyic cuts I have used them 4 times and have been so happy with the cut but also the cerakoke job great service great job and great staff when I find a great company I give them all my business and tell my friends that's the way I work. thanks Bill

I sent in my P01 slide to be milled for an RMRcc, the milling was done precisely as shown on the website: it looks and feels rock solid. I opted to have the slide cerakoted, I love that they offer a flat 'choose your own' cerakote color option. I went with the FX-117 Mardi Gras, it looks very cool as it's a purple with green pearlescence. I also opted to have my front sight removed and replaced with a blank, as my rear sight was deleted as part of the milling job.

In all I am very satisfied, however there was a finish issue out of the box. The front sight blank, which was cerakoted as well, had a section of the cerakote chipped and missing. Not a big deal as it will be in and out of a holster, but I still took note. Shortly after getting the slide on the gun, I had another section of cerakote chip off the back of the slide. This is a more noticeable chip, again it isn't the end of the world, but it has me worried how the finish will hold up long term as it shouldn't chip like that if applied correctly. I have not contaced Primary Machine regarding the chips yet, and I plan to update my review according to how they address the issue.

This is my 3rd slide done by Primary Machine and the work on all 3 has been absolutely stellar. Fit and finish of the milling, plate, sights and optic are all excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent! Milling and installation of the BUIS and RMRHD is great, cerakote looks as good as expected, like another CZ done a few years ago. Manager and others at the gun store I use for shipping was very impressed with the whole package done.
